BackgroundErase may offer discounts from time to time through coupon codes, limited-time promotions, or volume-based pricing on Enterprise. This article explains how promotions work and how to make sure your discount is applied correctly.

Quick summary: Most promo codes are applied during checkout. Enterprise discounts are handled through custom contracts.


Types of discounts

  • Coupon codes: Entered at checkout to reduce the subscription price (or sometimes the first billing period).
  • Limited-time promotions: Seasonal or special offers that may be available for a short window.
  • Yearly billing: Some customers prefer annual billing for simpler invoicing (and it may be priced differently than monthly).
  • Enterprise volume pricing: High-volume usage can qualify for negotiated per-image pricing.

How to apply a coupon code

  1. Select the plan you want from the pricing page.
  2. Proceed to checkout.
  3. Find the Add promotion code field.
  4. Enter the code exactly.
  5. Confirm the discount appears in your total before completing payment.

Common issues

  • Code is expired: Many promotions have an end date.
  • Wrong plan or billing cycle: Some discounts only apply to specific tiers (Starter vs Business) or only monthly vs yearly billing.
  • Already applied: If another promotion is active, the checkout may not allow stacking discounts.
  • Typos: Re-check spelling and capitalization.

Enterprise promotions and volume pricing

Enterprise discounts are typically handled through a custom contract rather than coupon codes. If you’re processing large volumes (hundreds of thousands to millions of images per year), we can offer volume-based pricing and custom limits.

Note: For Enterprise, discounts are usually tied to annual commitments, usage volume, and deployment requirements.


If your discount isn’t working

  1. Double-check the code for typos and capitalization.
  2. Confirm the code applies to the plan and billing cycle you selected.
  3. Try refreshing the checkout page and re-entering the code.
  4. If it still doesn’t apply, contact support with the promo code and a screenshot of your checkout screen.
